What is news?


Recently the Union Minister of Jal Shakti chaired the 10th meeting of the import task force of the national mission for Clean Ganga NMGC 

  • As part of its flagship Namami Gange program, the union government has shifted its focus from improving sanitation to conservation tourism and economic development of the Ganga River.

Other related initiatives: 

  • Ganga Action Plan: It was the first river Action Plan that was taken up by the Ministry of Environmental, Forest and Climate Change in 1985 to improve water equality through the intersection, diversion and treatment of domestic sewage.

  • National River Ganga Basin Authority (NRGBA): It was formed by the government of India in the year 2009 under section 3 of the Environment Protection Act, 1986

  • Clean Ganga Fund: In 2014 it was formed to clean up the Ganga setting up waste treatment plants and conserving of biodiversity of the river.

  • Bhuvan Ganga Web App: It ensures the involvement of the public in the monitoring of pollution entering the river, Ganga.

  • Ban on West disposal:  in 2017 the National Green Tribunal banned the disposal of any Waste into the Ganga.


As a responsible NGO Fatehpur Parshi Club in Collaboration with BDO Falta Implemented several programs under various Gram Panchayat of all the blocks to popularise various aspects of these programs into reality. cycle rally, Wallgraphity, Street theatre, Distribution of leaflets, Meetings and sitting with the community people were some of the methods to reach the goal.
